Staff Selection Commission will organize written exam for Constables in NIA CAPFs, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam rifles. The test is to be organized by SSC through online as well as offline mode. The Commission will organize test of aspirants qualified in PST/PET in both Offline (Paper mode) MODE and online (Computer based).

SSC GD Constable Written Exam Pattern: The written test will have one objective type question paper. This paper will have 100 questions with carrying 100 marks. The time duration for paper will be 2 hrs each and every section will have equal marks (25) and equal questions (25) marks This following section will be covered by the exam.

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning (25 marks)
  • General Knowledge (25 marks)
  • Elementary Mathematics (25 marks)
  • English/ Hindi (25 marks)

SSC Constable GD Syllabus 2019:  

General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analytical aptitude and ability will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This may include questions on spatial visualization, analogies, spatial orientation, similarities and differences, discrimination,  visual memory, observation, figural classification, arithmetical reasoning relationship concepts arithmetic number series, coding and decoding, non-verbal series,  etc.

General Knowledge and General Awareness: Questions in this component will be goal at testing the aspirants general awareness of the environment around him. current event and The test will also include questions related to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Culture,  sports, History, Economic Scene, General Polity, Geography, scientific Research Indian Constitution, etc.

Elementary Mathematics: Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Menstruation, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

English/Hindi: Contenders ‟ his basic comprehension would be tested, his ability to understand basic English/ Hindi.
