CDS Exam Syllabus 2020, CDS 2020 Exam Pattern GK English Math: CDS Exam date for November month has been released. Students those are going to appear in CDS Exam they can download exam syllabus and pattern. Union Public Service Commission organize Combined Defence Services Exam/test CDS two times in a year. The examination conducted by UPSC for appoint of different jobs under Officers Training Academy, Air Force Academy , Indian Naval Academy and Indian Military Academy. CDS exam is held twice in a year. CDS-I is held in February and CDS-II is held mostly in February 2020 month.

The test take by UPSC at lots of centres. We here providing you CDS syllabus 2020 which is help for preparation of UPSC CDS exam 2020. CDS Exam Syllabus 2019 

(A) For Admission in Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy and Indian Naval Academy:

CDS Exam Syllabus General Knowledge :- General Knowledge including experience and knowledge of every day science, History of India, Politics related, Geography of a nature and  observation and current events news,.

English Syllabus: Reading Comprehension, Synonyms, Sentence Correction, Para Jumbles, Jumbled Sentences, Antonyms, Error Spotting and Fill in the Blanks.

CDS Exam Syllabus Elementary Mathematics  : – Maths are not allow in OTA paper.

Arithmetic:-

Elementary Number Theory: use of logarithmic tables, laws of logarithms, Division algorithm, Prime & composite numbers, Tests of divisibility, Logarithms, Multiples and factors, Euclidean algorithm, H.C.F. & L.C.M, Factorisation Theorem.

Number System: – Square roots, Natural numbers, multiplication, Fundamental operations Division, addition,  subtraction, Integers, Rational & Real numbers, Decimal fractions.

Unitary method: – time and distance, variation, percentages, simple & compound interest, time and work,  ratio and proportion, profit and loss,

Trigonometry:- cosine x , Sine x, Tangent x when 0 < x < 90 degrees, Values of sin x, Simple trigonometric identities, cos x and tan x, for x = 0, 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees, simple cases of heights & distances, Use of trigonometric tables.

Algebra:- H.C.F and L.C.M, Remainder Theorem, simple factors,  Basic Operations, solutions of quadratic equations, relation from roots & coefficients (Only real roots to be considered), Theory of polynomials, Practical problems variables or quadratic equations in one variable & their solutions, analytical and graphical solutions, Simultaneous linear equations in two variables & their solutions, Set language & set notation, conditional identities & Rational expressions, Laws of indices.

Mensuration:-  triangle and circle, parallelograms, Areas of squares, rectangles, split up into these figures (Field Book), Areas of figures, lateral surface, Surface area & volume of cuboids,  cylinders, surface area & volume of spheres, and volume of right circular cones.

Geometry:- Plane and plane figures, Lines and angles, Theorems on (a) Sides and angles of a triangle (b) Properties of angles at a point (c)  Properties of angles (d) Congruency of triangles, (e) Parallel lines (f) Concurrence of medians & altitudes (g) Similar triangles, sides & diagonals of a parallelogram, rectangle & square (h) Circles including tangents normal

Statistics:- Measures of central tendency, bar charts, Graphical representation frequency,  histograms, Collection & tabulation of statistical data, polygons, pie charts.

Intelligence and Personality Test:- After the qualify exam in addition to the interview the selected contenders will be go for  Intelligence Tests both verbal & non-verbal, Group Tests , group discussions , outdoor group tasks , group planning , mental ability, asked current affairs question.
