About HP Board of Secondary Education : The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, Dharamshala was developed in 1969 along with the head quarter at Shimla. The Education board was initially started with a staff of only 34 people which became a staff of 643 today. The board prescribed syllabus and courses for school education. More than 5 lacs of candidates appear annually for the examination of J.B.T. and T.T.C. conducted by the board. Presently more than 8000 schools are in affiliation with the board.
