 IIT GATE 2020 Result is announced on March 2020 for all branches. The official date of GATE 2020 Result announcement is March 2020 (Thursday). Results of GATE 2020 will be declared on official website of GATE 2020 Online Application Form. Those students appeared in GATE 2020 Counselling they will be able to download their score card from March 2020 onwards.

About GATE Exam: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is National level exam. GATE Exam is test which is held to provide admission in master degree programs of engineering and science. GATE is jointly conducted by one of jointly held Roorkee, Bombay, Guwahati, Delhi, Kharagpur, Kanpur and Madras. This exam is being held in behalf of GATE- the National Coordination Board, department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.

GATE Score of applicants shows the performance level of students. GATE SCORE CARD is used for enrollment in master degree programs in science, technology and engineering or Doctor of Philosophy in IITs or NITS, MNITs and various other institutes. How to calculate GATE CCMT 2020 Counselling

Students can calculate GATE 2020 Score card by given formula:

where,

S = Score (normalized) of a candidate,

M = Marks obtained by a candidate (“normalized marks” in case of multiple-session subjects CS, CE, EC, EE and ME),

Mq = Qualifying marks for general category candidates in that subject (usually 25 or μ + σ, whichever is higher),

σ = Standard deviation of marks of all candidates in that subject,

μ = Average (i.e. arithmetic mean) of marks of all candidates in that subject,

Sq = 350 = Score assigned to Mq.

Mt = Average marks of top 0.1 % candidates (for subjects with 10000 or more appeared candidates) or top 10 candidates (for subjects with less than 10000 appeared candidates),

St = 900 = Score assigned to Mt,

Percentile:

A candidate’s percentile denotes the percentage of candidates scoring lower than that particular candidate. It is calculated as:

Percentile = (1 – All India rank/ No. of candidates in that subject ) x 100%
